If you think it through, you might find the following business requirements helpful.

1. Start your business on a shoe string. There are a lot of businesses that you can start on $3,000 to $5000. You may need to invest more after you get it going to expand it to the level you want.

2. It is part-time or seasonal. Most business startups require long hours, Saturdays and Sundays, and very little vacation. But there are seasonal businesses that are only active 3 to 4 months a year (some even just a month or so) leaving you time for many months of traditional retirement activities.

3. Minimize risk by not signing long-term leases or equipment purchases. Design your business around service festivals, using a trailor, or based in your premise so you don't have ongoing commitment of leases. This may force you to keep your business smaller but that may be just what you want.

4. No employees. This will limit the size of your business but it will save a lot of the complicaitons of a business. You might need to hire independent contractors to do some of the more physical work.

5. No heavy lifting. You don't really want highly physical work so stay away from that type of business.
